Schools are Cultures... and our culture defines ‘the way we do things around here’. As Peter Drucker reminds us, "Culture eats strategy for breakfast". When schools intentionally build a Learning Culture with us they embed deep, sustainable change. We work with schools to deconstruct ‘a culture’ and then we co-construct their own.
The key components are:

THE PORTRAIT OF A LEARNER
Cultures share aspirations so we work together to develop A Portrait of a Learner, which serves as the "End in Mind" for everything we do in the culture.

THE LEARNING DEFINITION
Cultures share a language so we provide a shared learning definition that describes learning in terms of conceptual, competency and character growth.

THE LEARNING LEADERSHIP
From our experience, the single most important factor in school change is the quality of school leadership. Leaders who understand of the importance of creating and sustaining positive school learning cultures are the ones who create a lasting legacy of school transformation.

THE COLLECTIVE GROWTH SYSTEM
Cultures shares beliefs and values so we work with schools to generate their set of learning principles and translate these in to the learning practices that form classroom learning cultures. These principles provide the heart of our common sense alternative to ineffective teachers supervision systems, an approach we call The Collective Growth System (CGS).

THE STUDENT SUCCESS SERVICES
It's only a culture if everybody belongs and can be successful so we work with schools to create systemic Student Success Services to make sure that everybody learns.

THE LEARNING EXHIBITIONS
Cultures share celebrations so we have highly developed approaches to Learning Exhibitions, complete with Parent Playbooks so that they can also gain the maximum from our Exhibitions.
