In CGC, we build all our learning systems backwards from the Portrait. Instead of thinking about "school and after school activities" we think of curricular and co-curricular Pathways to the Portrait. We help schools to build programs that are intentionally connected to the Portrait and to use the Portrait to conduct gap analysis in terms of a balanced program.

Of course, co-curricular experiences should be engaging and enjoyable. At the same time, we see them as planned learning experiences with certain key features. In order to keep the focus on learning without overburdening activity leaders with too much "bureaucracy", we have designed a simple Co-Curricular Planner that captures the key purposes and practices within the learning experience.
EXPLORE THE CURRICULUM COMPONENTS
This Matrix embeds our Learning Modules into a complete overview of the school's learning program.
This system offers a complete framework for assessment, recording and reporting.
This element in the system intentionally treats learning itself as curriculum.
We believe in the importance of the curricular disciplines and in the power of designed interdisciplinary learning experiences.
